It's 1979, and Lou, a Vietnam vet, is a police officer with only one task: to keep his tiny town safe. Currently, he's working on a dangerous case that involves a mighty criminal syndicate and some local thugs. Hank, the rough-tough and experienced sheriff (who also happens to be Lou's father-in-law), is helping him get to the bottom of this. The investigation they start together introduces them to a whole bunch of charismatic characters. The list includes a hard-boiled mayor, a veteran of the pointless Korean War, a town drunk, and more. What do all these people have to do with the mobsters, and how are they going to help them bring the syndicate down?
